Accredited and Ready to Care
Bell View Help at Home receives Care Quality Commission seal of approval
“Bell View Help at Home” have announced that they have received registration from the Official Care Quality Commission (CQC), which registers all new medical and primary services against the National Standards.
CQC assess primary medical services to make sure they will provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care
With this official recognition the news means that “Bell View Help at Home” will launch their independent and bespoke personal care service for older people in the North Northumberland area in mid-January.
Operating from Whittingham in the South to Ford and Etal in the North, across to Seahouses and Bamburgh at the coast this new scheme is being launched by the multi award winning Bell View resource centre in Belford.
Commenting on the official accreditation, David Robertson Registered Manager of “Bell View Help at Home”, said: “Now we have received the accreditation from the CQC our aim is to build up a team focused on the care of elderly. Offering the very highest levels of service, it will be run by locals for local residents. Our new team will receive a 5 day induction programme, where they will be given training in both our own personal policies and procedures as well as the mandatory training of health and safety, moving and handling, medications and the safe guarding of adults.”
The single most important mission of “Bell View Help at Home” is to support and enable older people to live independently at home within their communities in North Northumberland. The range of services offered by the support workers are extensive and include:
- Assistance with a good morning start to the day
- Preparation of meals
- Domestic tasks
- Pampering sessions
- Shopping support
- A timely prompt for medication
As well as the aforementioned practical elements there is also the essential part of the scheme to help provide social contact and reassurance for people when they are feeling vulnerable. The services offered will be time led rather than task led.
Anyone interested in applying for the position of support workers can contact David on 01668 219 538 [email protected].
Bell View is a small community based charity run by local residents to support and enable older people to live independently in their community of choice.
