Accolade for Car Club Web Design
As the website and stand designers for the TVR Car Club, H&H Reeds Printers formerly known as Cypher Digital were delighted to receive recognition for their work in the prestigious 2012 annual Classic & Sportscar Magazine Awards.
Competing against websites from car clubs such as Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, BMW and Lamborghini this Cumbrian based digital print and exhibition company picked up the award for the best car club website and was voted runner up for best stand at the show.
Attracting over 100,000 visitors over three days The Footman James Classic Motor Show is the biggest classic car exhibition in the UK. With over 1400 cars from all eras, it showcases a myriad of marques and models, and is recognised as every motoring enthusiast’s paradise.
The TVR Car Club has been a client of Cypher Digital for over 15 years and the involvement stems from now H&H Reeds Printer’s Director, Paul Calland’s interest in TVR cars. The website which has had over 2 million page views in the last year and 80,000 unique visitors, was originally designed by Paul in 1999 and was redesigned into a new style by H&H Reeds Printers from 2011-2012. A key element of this easily navigated site is the discussion forum which has nearly 10,000 members.
Commenting after the presentations at the awards ceremony held at The Footman James Classic Motor Show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham
Paul Calland said;
“This is a fantastic show and we were up against all of the other classic car clubs in the United Kingdom. To be recognised at the awards really does demonstrate the power of the internet and confirms our work as a part of H&H Reeds Printers on the international stage. This really is a team effort with all of the divisions within the company working together to produce such exceptional results.”
“This Classic Motor Show, is very much a showcase event for the industry and to keep ahead of the game it is important that both the stand and website continually evolve. We are competing on an international stage and it is hugely competitive, so to win both Best Car Club Website and be runner up for Best Stand is a great honour for the company”.
This year the TVR Club’s stand was a huge 384 square metres with a dedicated member’s refreshment area and a centre backdrop that was nearly seven metres wide and three metres high. Twelve TVR sports cars were shown and the stand was built and manned by over 30 volunteers from the TVR Car club over four days.
These two awards really do confirm that this Milnthorpe, based company, H&H Reeds Printers Digital Print and Exhibition Team are very much leaders in their fields.
